DISCONNECTION

I do think that as a society we treat food as if it’s disposable. For nearly 2 years I have supplied food businesses, and the demand to have food waiting and ready all year round is so transparent. Not by everyone, and especially not our customers, but as a whole sector it is really clear to see.

And it isn’t just food businesses, when we go to the supermarket and they have ran out of something like carrots, we moan and find it really inconvenient (or at least I do). However, the week before we could have throw away ones we never eat. We rarely think about the MONTHS it took to grow just one carrot, and how much care it received to grow.


I want Little Leaf Boutique to document the journey of how our microgreens are grown, and their journey to you, to connect you all to the process. When you own a
fresh food business it does come with having a lot of food waste. Which is always devastating to see. By being a Little Leaf Wellness Club Member you are helping us
massively reduce waste. It means we know how much to sow, and they won’t be going to waste.
